Galatasaray have reportedly received a massive €120 million offer from a Saudi Arabian club for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, as the race to sign the Super Eagles star heats up.
According to Turkish transfer insider Serhan Türk, the Turkish champions are currently weighing up two separate offers worth €120 million each — one from Europe and another from Saudi Arabia. While the Saudi club’s identity remains unknown, the interest underlines just how highly Osimhen is valued in the transfer market.
This latest development comes after earlier reports linked Atlético Madrid with a bid in the same region, while another unnamed European side was also said to have submitted a verbal offer worth €125 million.
Despite the growing attention from some of the world’s biggest spenders, Galatasaray are standing firm.
The Turkish champions are reportedly unwilling to part ways with the 27-year-old, seeing him as the cornerstone of their long-term plans and arguably the most important player in the squad.
Osimhen’s importance to the club only grew after an outstanding debut full season in Istanbul. The Nigerian forward delivered 22 goals and eight assists in 33 appearances across all competitions, playing a huge role as Galatasaray successfully defended their Turkish Süper Lig title.
Club president Dursun Özbek is said to have placed a €150 million valuation on Osimhen and has no intention of entering negotiations below that figure.
To further secure his future, Galatasaray are reportedly preparing an improved contract extension that would keep him at the club until 2029, along with a significant salary increase.
The club are also considering handing Osimhen the captain’s armband following the expected exit of Mauro Icardi, as well as awarding him the iconic No. 9 shirt — a clear sign that they want to build the next phase of the team around him.
Galatasaray’s ambition doesn’t stop there. The club are also targeting the signing of a top-class midfielder as they prepare for a stronger push in the UEFA Champions League, with Osimhen expected to remain the centrepiece of that project.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have reportedly pulled out of the race for the Nigerian striker.
Reports from the Manchester Evening News suggest Galatasaray’s huge asking price and Osimhen’s wage demands have made a move to Old Trafford financially unrealistic.
United boss Michael Carrick is now expected to explore other attacking options after sealing the signing of Ederson from Atalanta.
At the same time, Marcus Rashford could be reintegrated into the squad if he stays, while Joshua Zirkzee is widely tipped to leave after an underwhelming two-year spell.
Although clubs from the Saudi Pro League have reportedly offered Osimhen personal terms worth over $50 million per year in the past, the striker has remained focused on staying in Europe.
A move to the Premier League is still believed to be one of his long-term career ambitions, leaving the door open for another major transfer battle in the future.
